Colombia Gran Galope from the Huila region offers a predominantly toffee flavor with refreshing yet soft lemon notes. Balanced and rich in body, this cup certainly lives up to Huila’s reputation as the home of award-winning Colombian coffees.

    Espresso Roast:
    An Espresso Roast has been developed inside the roaster for a longer period to increase caramelisation and body, which makes it ideal to be brewed on an espresso machine

    Filter Roast:
    A filter roasted coffee has been less developed in the roaster in order to retain more sharpness and acidity. This is better suited for manual brewing I.E. Pourover, Aeropress, French Press, Cold Brew etc

The Gran Galope stamp ultimately puts this top tier cup in the Colombian commodity market. Before the Galope certification, this coffee would simply be sold for its street price despite its 84-85 cupping score. Approved as a specialty coffee, though not ‘boutique’ enough to meet Regional Select’s standard, its distinguishable characteristic would be put to waste.

    Delicious toffee notes per the tasting notes above. In addition to those, we found lovely brown sugar notes. Highly recommend this great coffee.
